Southern California has the spotlight for National Signing Day coverage in 2014, and rightfully so. A few of the nation's top recruits who have yet to announce their decisions hail from Socal. Adoree' Jackson, Damien Mama & JuJu Smith will shock the world today.

Other notable recruits from California include Joe Mixon, who is slated to announce his commitment to Oklahoma, along with UCLA future signees Jaleel Wadood, Adarius Pickett and Jordan Lasley.

The West squad defeated the East 28-6 at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game at the Alamodome in San Antonio Saturday afternoon.

The annual matchup featured the top prep football players in the country. Many of the participants have already committed to college programs but some announced their intentions live on NBC during the game.

The St. John Bosco Braves defeated the Alemany Warriors 56-14 Friday night in Mission Hills to advance to the CIFSS Pac-5 Championship game.

The undefeated Braves were led by the stellar play of senior Jaleel Wadood, who stepped up for Bosco with two touchdowns and two interceptions on the night.

St. John Bosco took the early 7-0 lead on a sweet touchdown strike from junior Josh Rosen to Wadood.

The 2013 installment of The Opening kicked off Monday morning at Nike headquarters in Beaverton with the best high school football players in the country competing in SPARQ preliminary testing at Bo Jackson Field.

The athletes overcame hot and humid weather conditions and performed several tasks throughout the morning that included the 40-yard dash, power ball toss, 20-yard shuttle and the vertical jump.

The 2013 B2G Elite Camp at UCLA provided the ideal setting for any aspiring college level athlete. Student-athletes participating in this year's camp walked down the to field for the morning session after having breakfast in the dining hall close to the dorms they'll be housed in for the remainder of the weekend. Campers get to experience firsthand what it's like to be a student-athlete in a college environment, and that's invaluable.

The Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits defeated the favored St. John Bosco Braves 13-10 to advance to the Pac-5 Championship against Mater Dei. The Jackrabbits survived a tough physical battle behind a strong rushing performance from Washington State commit Gerard Wicks.

Wicks scored the lone touchdown of the first half on a short touchdown run to give the Jackrabbits a 6-0 advantage into halftime. As the fog rolled in, St. John Bosco cut the lead in half with a field goal in the third quarter.

The St. John Bosco Braves overpowered the Tesoro Titans 38-17 on a frigid night in Bellflower to advance in the Pac 5 playoffs. The Braves will face Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) next week.

Both teams settled for field goals early. With the game tied 3-3, the Braves took the lead on 7-yard touchdown run by Darren Walker.

Tesoro answered with an explosive 57-yard touchdown burst from senior running back Nate Tago.

St. John Bosco sophomore quarterback Josh Rosen connected with junior running back Lonell Woodhouse on a 22-yard touchdown pass to give the Braves a 17-10 advantage.
