The Orange Lutheran Lancers were able to hand the Vista Murrieta Broncos their first loss of the season last Friday. The first quarter was was a feeling out period. Neither team was able to score.

In the second quarter Broncos WR Kyle Williams took some snaps under center and ran the ball for a touchdown. The extra point was missed, so Murrieta went up 6-0. Orange Lutheran gained some momentum after that, putting a field goal on the board.

Several of the top high school football players in Southern California competed in the 3rd annual 4th Quarter Sports 7v7 Shootout at Salesian high school Sunday. The athletes braved stormy weather conditions and nearly 12 hours of action before a champion was crowned.

In the finale, Team FCA defeated GameChangers to take home the trophy. Team FCA was led by Long Beach Poly quarterback Josh Love, Buena Park receiver Jaylinn Hawkins, Orange Lutheran athlete Hudson Hankins and several other talented D1Bound prospects.

Despite being the thick of things with the 2014 recruiting class cycle, the class of 2015 is beginning to emerge and some of the top players are beginning to get their names out in the spotlight. One of those names is Keisean Lucier-South, the 6-foot-6, 215 lbs. defensive end from Orange (CA.) Lutheran.

The relentless pass-rusher already boasts offers from most of the Pac-12, Miami (Fl.), Tennessee and more. Plus, he's starting to get overall recognition as one of the top players in the nation. He's getting recognition as a five-star athlete as well.

The 2012 B2G Sports Elite Football Camp at Cal Lutheran University featured some of the top high school football recruits in the nation.

The NBA Draft took place on Thursday at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. Former Kentucky Wildcats superstar Anthony Davis was the top pick after being selected by the New Orleans Hornets. Fresh off leading the Cats to the national title, Davis is the clear cut prize of this year's NBA draft class. The rest of the draft yielded some surprises.

Four teams booked trips to the Elite Eight Thursday night as March Madness resumed with Sweet Sixteen action. Tonight’s games featured matchups from the East and West Regions.

The first game on the slate featured top seed Syracuse and the feisty four seed Wisconsin Badgers. The game was hotly contested throughout and came down to the wire. Syracuse held on to win 64-63 after Badgers guard Jordan Taylor’s long jumper fell short in the waning moments. The Orange advance to the East Regional Final on Saturday.

The Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits basketball squad stepped up to bat on Saturday night in the LBC and beat Orange Lutheran (70-62). LB Poly traveled up the road to Long Beach Jordan High School to host the second round of the CIF Southern Regional State High School Hoops Tournament.
