Alemany Defeats St. Francis 65-36 in Mission League Opener

Warriors Win Mission League Opener

The Alemany Warriors took care of business Wednesday night with an impressive 65-36 road victory over the St. Francis Knights in the Mission League opener.

The Warriors jumped out to an early lead and controlled the game thanks to the outstanding play of their backcourt, featuring dual-sport senior captain Brandon Boyd and lightning quick sophomore Shac Dawkins.

The Alemany squad is loaded with ballers at every position. Sophomore big man Daron Henson was a force on the interior and knocked down several mid-range jumpers.

Sharpshooting senior guard Gary Chivichyan was lights out from behind the arc, dropping long-range bombs all night to lead the Warriors in scoring.

After terrorizing quarterbacks on the grid-iron for the Alemany football team, junior power forward Kevin Summers brings size and toughness down low for the Warriors.

With the defeat, St. Francis falls to 10-4 and will look to bounce back against Harvard-Westlake next Monday.

After a tough non-league schedule, the Warriors improve to 11-5 in lieu of a big home game against rival Crespi on Friday.
