The Gardena Serra Cavaliers defeated the Chaminade Eagles of West Hills 36-0 behind a stellar defensive performance and four touchdowns from senior quarterback Jalen Greene.
The Cavaliers came out swinging with Greene connecting with UCLA commit Jordan Lasley for a sweet 76-yard touchdown catch less than a minute into the game.
Leading 7-0, Greene linked up with Adoree' Jackson on a 40-yard catch and run that set the Cavs up deep in Chaminade territory. Junior running back Darrion Naylor capped off the drive with a short touchdown run that extended the Serra lead to 14-0. Naylor ran hard all night, finishing with 116 yards on the ground.

The Serra defense completely stifled the Chaminade offensive attack for much of the contest. The Eagles could not get into a good rhythm, dropping several catchable balls throughout the night.
Meanwhile,Greene had the Cavs offense moving up tempo and striking a solid balance with Naylor in the run game. Serra added to the lead on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Greene to Zeke Zindler.

Leading 21-0, that bad man Adoree' Jackson struck with a long punt return for a touchdown that was negated by a penalty.
At the half, Serra led 21-0.

It was more of the same in the second half as the Serra defense denied Chaminade from scoring. The Eagles were shut out for the first time since 2008. Adoree' came up with a big interception for the Cavs while Glen Ihenacho forced a fumble with a bone-jarring hit.
The offense continued to produce with Greene rushing for two touchdowns and Serra building a stunning 36-0 lead over Chaminade. The final minutes of the contest were played under a running clock. Chaminade falls to 5-2 and will look to bounce back next week at home against St. Paul.

After the game, Serra defensive standout Olajuwon Tucker committed to USC. With the victory, Serra improves to 7-0 and will host Cathedral next week in another Mission League contest.
