With National Signing Day finally here, Salesian standout defensive back Jermaine Kelly Jr. can add a late offer from USC to the impressive list of programs clamoring for his services. While Kelly is committed to Washington, he remains interested in Oregon, USC and Boise State and intends to evaluate his options and make a prudent decision.

"I'm blessed right now. All I can do is take it in, and listen to what they have to say, along with my family and just pray on it," said Kelly.

Kelly is looking forward to the next step in his football journey.

Now that the 2012 NCAA football regular season is complete, it’s time to honor the most outstanding players on the field this year. USC quarterback Matt Barkley entered 2012 the Heisman favorite but faltered early.

West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith grabbed the reigns as early season favorite with a great September. After Smith and West Virginia lost a few games, Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein became the presumed frontrunner before a disappointing loss to Baylor.

Thanks to a stifling defensive performance by the Stanford Cardinal against USC, there is a new leader in CLA’s weekly Heisman pecking order. Early season favorite Matt Barkley struggled against the Cardinal, failing to throw a touchdown and throwing interceptions on consecutive passes in the Trojans 21-14 loss in Palo Alto.
