Marlon Humphrey is in a class of his own amongst 2014 football recruits. Humphrey recently took home a silver medal at the World Youth Track & Field Championships in the Ukraine and is now ready to solidify his list of official visits for the upcoming football season.
The Hoover High School senior is set on being able to run track and play football in college. As one of the top HS hurdlers in the nation he should have that chance.
"I was supposed to be at The Opening but I had to go to the Ukraine," Humphrey told CLA Sports.
CLA spoke with Raekwon McMillan shortly after his recent unofficial visit to the University of Georgia. McMillan is considered by many to be the nation's top inside linebacker recruit in the class of 2014. We chatted about recruiting and asked Raekwon what he’s been up to since The Opening at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
Vincent Jackson Jr. is one of the most highly-touted recruits in the class of 2014. Jackson hails from Jesuit High School (Tampa, FL) and sits on roughly 40 official scholarship offers from some of the top college football programs across the country.
CLA spoke with Vincent today and he gave us some insight on what the recruiting landscape looks like at the moment.
"I really wanna play early. I'm not worried about how good a team has been in the past. I don't wanna sit for 2 or 3 years," Jackson told CLA.
Dwight Williams is a known player. He’s got all the skills that you want in a linebacker for a program and his offer list is proof of that. He’s worked hard to build up on an impressive list, but now the Gardena Serra (Calif.) athlete is breaking things down a bit.
He talked to us about his recruitment.
Who was his first offer? “My first offer was Colorado.”

“Coach (Chris) Ball just stopped by. He was excited to finally get to see me in person. He was surprised at how big I was,” 2014 LB Michael Lazarus told CLA today. At 6’3 220, Lazarus will not only surprise college coaches, but also opponents.
Laz plays with an aggressive style and diagnoses plays well from his middle backer position.
