The LA Watts Summer Games have a long and storied tradition dating back to 1968. The birth of the Games is one of the most positive outcomes of the Watts riots of 1965. The LA Watts Summer Games provide local athletes an invaluable forum to showcase their talents and reach their potential. Their objective is clear. The NCAA football recruiting trail is heating up. Several top juniors and upcoming seniors are beginning to get a feel for exactly which Division I colleges are interested in their services. Standing 6'6" and tipping the scales at 340 pounds, it's no mystery that Emerald Faletuipapai has the size to play at the next level. The great thing about Big Em' is that he doesn't solely rely on his size and is eager to improve. "The first week of spring football went by great. I'm looking forward to the upcoming practices as the week progresses," Emerald told CLA.

Head Coach Mike Grossner gave Dillon Baxter another chance on Sunday, and Baxter once again showed resolve to keep his dreams of someday playing in the NFL alive.

As a former USC Trojan and one-time San Diego State student-athlete, Baxter looks to pick himself up alongside his new teammates and coach at NAIA Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. Coach Grossner anticipates the former California high school touchdown record holder to contribute to the offense in a number of ways, similar to the many different positions Baxter played while he starred at Mission Bay.

With a 6'6" frame and weighing in at 215, Muhammad is not only ready for college ball with his skill set, but his body is physically ready as well. He possesses range with a very consistent jump-shot and is a very good rebounder and natural scorer. Opponents shouldn't sleep on his strength and

The UCLA Bruins hit a grand slam Monday when Miller Grove (GA) big man Tony Parker announced that Westwood would be his college destination.

With prized recruits Shabazz Muhammad, Kyle Anderson and Jordan Adams already on board, the Bruins head into 2012 with national title aspirations. Parker chose the Bruins over home state Georgia, Duke, Kansas, Ohio State and Memphis.

The addition of Parker provides UCLA with a beast in the paint that can score and rebound. At 6-9 280, Parker should bolster the Bruin frontline that returns Joshua Smith, Travis Wear and David Wear.
