The Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits pulled out a heart-stopping 61-59 victory over the St. John Bosco Braves in front of a packed house at Cerritos College to advance in the CIF Open Division Championships.
With the game tied at 59 and 11 seconds to play, Poly senior Roschon Prince drove into the lane and barreled over a Braves defender. It was a close play but the officials chose to swallow their whistles and the ball bounced right to senior Jordan Bell for the game-winning lay up as time expired.

CLA spoke with future Texas A&M Aggies football player Sebastian LaRue. Several days after the Santa Monica High School student-athlete signed his National Letter of Intent to play college football, you could sense that he's going to feel at home in College Station.
"There's a lot of excitement. All over my Twitter and on blogs. they're just raving about me signing with them. I'm glad the fan base is excited about me and I'm excited to go in and capitalize off their excitement," LaRue told CLA Sports.

Kelly signed with Washington, while Vercher made his commitment to Sac State.
Today, Sebastian LaRue can rest easy knowing that he's made the right decision for his future. The recent Texas A&M Aggies commit is excited about his future in College Station, Texas.
"I went out there (Texas A&M) once before, so my trip made everything more familiar. I talked to the coaches and liked their whole vibe. They're a players' coaching staff and that's really what I look for," he told CLA Sports today.
It's been a great season for senior offensive lineman Emerald Faletuipapai from Gardena Serra High School in California. After anchoring an o-line that paved the way to a 2012 CIF State Championship victory, Faletuipapai decided to take advantage of his scholarship offer from University of Houston that he received last week.
"I called Coach Levine and he didn't answer, so I called the tight ends coach Jamie Christian and told him. He told me to call the Head Coach again because he missed my call and I made my commitment to him (Coach Levine)," Emerald told CLA Sports today.
