Brady White and Trent Irwin Lead Hart at 7v7 Tournament

Northwestern, Colorado State at Crescenta Valley 7v7 Tourney

Hart standouts Brady White and Trent Irwin were just a few of the talented student athletes competing in a 7v7 passing tournament at Crescenta Valley High School Friday afternoon.

The college coaches in attendance witnessed White and Irwin link up on several big plays. White's precision passing and decision making combined with Irwin's excellent route running and great hands are a nightmare for opposing defenses to contain.

The teams will be back out Saturday to conclude the tournament. With the start of the football season less than four months away, teams are working hard, building chemistry and honing their skills.

Crescenta Valley 7v7 Tourney Highlights

For Brady White, the long list of programs clamoring for his services continues to grow. Big time schools from around the nation would be in good hands with a signal caller like White at the helm. Quarterback guru Steve Clarkson has dubbed Brady, the next Joe Namath.

As for Irwin, aka the White Mamba, the list of scholarship offers will certainly mount. With offers from Pac-12 programs like Cal and Colorado already in hand, Irwin is poised to play at the next level.

Other schools participating included host CV, Burroughs, Marshall, Eagle Rock, Sylmar and Arcadia.

CLA Recruit Watch:

In addition to White and Irwin, Burroughs '14 recruits Conor Joyce and Sean Johnson played well with Northwestern and Colorado State coaches in attendance.

One sleeper recruit in the mix was '15 ATH Connor Van Ginkel from Crescenta Valley HS. Van Ginkel is about 6'2 170 with excellent athleticism and instincts.
