Gardena Serra Crushes St. Francis 42-6

Malik Roberson Scores 3 Touchdowns in Cavaliers Victory over St. Francis

The Gardena Serra Cavaliers took care of business Thursday night, dominating league foe St. Francis 42-6 behind a stellar defensive performance and three touchdowns from Malik Roberson.

With playmaker Taz Bateman lost for the season with a broken ankle, it was incumbent upon others to step their game up. On this night, it was Malik Roberson that was up to the challenge.

Trailing 3-0, the Cavaliers took the lead on a rushing touchdown by Roberson. The Serra defense held the St. Francis offense out of the end zone all night, yielding only two long field goals. Serra led 14-6 at halftime.

The second half belonged entirely to Serra as the Cavaliers extended their lead to 21-6 on another touchdown run by Roberson. The Serra defense put the game away on a big 55-yard interception return for a score by Inoke Raikadroka.

Adoree' Jackson Postgame Interview

Leading 28-6, Serra quarterback Jalen Greene connected with Roberson on a sweet pitch and catch down the sideline for his third score of the game. The stout Serra defense was led by standouts Adoree' Jackson and Dwight Williams as well as Ardis "All-Business" Perez. A late score by Marques Rodgers gave the Cavaliers a commanding 42-6 lead and their sixth victory of the season.
