The Alemany Warriors took care of business Wednesday night with an impressive 65-36 road victory over the St. Francis Knights in the Mission League opener.

The Warriors jumped out to an early lead and controlled the game thanks to the outstanding play of their backcourt, featuring dual-sport senior captain Brandon Boyd and lightning quick sophomore Shac Dawkins.

The Alemany squad is loaded with ballers at every position. Sophomore big man Daron Henson was a force on the interior and knocked down several mid-range jumpers.

St. Francis junior tight end John Carroll is a rising prospect in the Class of 2015. Carroll was an integral part of the offense and a force along the defensive line for the 8-2 Golden Knights this season.

At 6'3 220, Carroll is the total package, an effective run blocker and a quarterback's best friend in the passing game with his big frame and solid hands.

In a battle of undefeated teams, the Serra Cavaliers proved to have too much fire power for St. Francis tonight. The Golden Knights fought to keep the game close and things were tied up 21-21 entering the fourth quarter. Boise State QB commit Jalen Greene changed that.

Greene took the ball on a quarterback draw and raced 50 yards up the gut to give the Cavaliers the lead 28-21 after the successful PAT.

Until that point, St. Francis had the Cavaliers on their heels.
