Crenshaw defeated Oxnard 26-20 in a hard fought contest at Crenshaw high. Crenshaw dominated the visiting Yellowjackets from Oxnard. Cougars running back Aundre Carter was on fire in the first half moving the chains and scoring a brilliant touchdown run. Crenshaw's QB Derrick Darden was also in fine form throwing for a touchdown and scrambling for another.
With Crenshaw up 20-0 at the half, the game looked over. But Oxnard made a 4th quarter comeback behind QB Dalton Pagano to close the gap to 20-13. But Oxnard couldn't sustain with Crenshaw linebacker Jordyn Bragg making an interception in the end zone. Darden closed out the game for Crenshaw 26-20.
